How to Build a Stronger Online Community

How strong is your online community? I’m not talking about the number of Twitter followers or Facebook fans. Instead, I mean strength in the sense of the real connections you’re building on social platforms, whether it’s with online influencers or with professional colleagues.
Marketer Chris Brogan, in Community Only Means Something if You Keep it Warm, shares a great point:
“Community, that real sense of community, where people feel like they’re connected for some warm reason or another, is much more valuable than cash. You can find cash. You can’t find warm bodies who want to help, who genuinely want you to succeed. Those, you have to earn.”
Brogan also offers a list of ideas to keep your community “warm,” and it’s a list that’s definitely worth a look—so check it out! At its heart is the simple idea that success is built on what you can do for community members, not what they can do for you.
